So first off let me tell you I totally stole this from:
But I had her permission to steal it! What a terrific idea! I'm in love how about you? here is the original link!
Do you ever just want to use only one boneless chicken breast for a meal? Casseroles, stir-fry, whatever--sometimes all you need is one (when your family is small).
Well, I used to store them in the
freezer in pairs in quart size bags. It seemed like a waste of space and
bags to just put one in a bag. But the problem was, even if I just
needed one breast, I had to thaw out 2. What if I wanted something
besides chicken breast for dinner the next night?
Well, I started saving the produce bags I get at the grocery store. I only use the bags dry produce has been in (nothing that's been "misted" all day). Otherwise it will start to get a funky smell.
I usually get 2 or 3 dry bags in a shopping trip, so I have enough when I am ready to buy and put away a big package of chicken. Here's what I do:

I drop a chicken breast in a produce bag and roll it up.
Then I put the individually wrapped chicken breasts into a gallon freezer Ziploc bag. Now they are ready to thaw out, one at a time, in the fridge over night (You might want to put it in a bowl). And voila! My own perfect portions!
I like this idea because it helps me not waste the extra breast if I don't get a chance to use it. It also gives me another use for all those produce bags that seem pretty clean, but I've never had a use for. And I didn't spend money on "special" little bags, since they come free with produce.
Do you have any frugal food freezing or storage tips to share?
This is such a terrific idea. I'm going to use it.
